Photographer Victor Fielding (Leslie Odom Jr.) is haunted by a tragedy that shook his faith. Years later, raising his daughter Angela (Lidya Jewett) as a single father, their lives are upended when Angela and her best friend Katherine (Olivia O’Neill) disappear into the woods. When the girls return, they seem traumatized but unharmed. However, disturbing changes and escalating events lead Victor to believe a demonic force is at work.
Desperate, Victor seeks out Chris MacNeil (Ellen Burstyn), the only person who understands the horrors they face. Together, they must confront a malevolent entity determined to possess both Angela and Katherine. As the battle between good and evil intensifies, Victor is forced to confront his own demons in order to save his daughter.
